Welcome to
Vitamina Natureza
The Associação Vitamina Natureza, descends from a Project created in 2014, the Associação Nacional dos Animadores Sociais – ANAS, on the initiative of João Morgado and whose main objective was to return children to nature and promote free play. We stayed that way for 5 years.
From the combination of experiences and desires, this new Vitamina Natureza project was born. Contributing to the happy and healthy development of our children is our main objective. This is a non-profit association governed by private law.
It is the Team's understanding that children, in this increasingly global society, increasingly suffer from a sedentary lifestyle, confined at home..., computers..., solitary games and, often, overprotection in the face of what childhood justifies and should include.
We know how good it is to get dirty, explore, jump, run freely, obviously without taking any major risks and with the supervision of adults and always with a view to making children happy, ensuring them different days of fun and lots of sharing and always based on a greater mission, which involves instilling in them values and a sense of responsibility, in a weekly schedule in which they themselves are active and decisive agents, even in the planning of daily activities.
Vitamina Natureza, created with the mission of returning children to nature with a pioneering methodology in Portugal. We were inspired by the republic's assembly and reproduced it with the children participating in the holiday workshops, encouraging children to play an active and democratic role in organizing their day. Every week there will be activities proposed by the Vitamina Natureza team that will have to be taken to the children's assembly to be approved, as well as all the proposals that the participating children present are presented by themselves and voted on in the children's assembly. Only those activities that are approved will be carried out.

Our Pedagogical Ambassador
Professor Doctor Carlos Neto
"Children cannot continue to be 'closeted' in schools and school schedules that make them sedentary. This is negligence and does not respect their rights to be children with freedom, autonomy, risk, free play and cooperative, democratic, humanistic, ecological and participatory."
